The Pula appreciated by 1.1 percent against the South African rand and depreciated against the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR) and all its constituent currencies over the one-month period to June 2021. It depreciated by 2.5 percent against the US dollar, 1.9 percent against the Japanese yen, 1.3 percent against the SDR, 1.1 percent against the Chinese yuan and 0.1 percent against both the British pound and the euro.

Over the twelve months period to June 2021, the nominal Pula exchange rate depreciated by 10.8 percent against the South African rand and appreciated by 4.2 percent against the SDR. Against the SDR constituent currencies, the Pula appreciated by 10.8 percent against the Japanese yen, 8.1 percent against the US dollar and 1.9 percent against the euro, while it depreciated by 4.2 percent against the British pound and 1.3 percent against the Chinese yuan.
