The Pula appreciated by 1 percent against the South African rand and depreciated by 1.1 percent against the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR) over the one-month period to February 2024. It depreciated by 1.3 percent against the euro, 1.1 percent each against the US dollar and the British pound and 0.9 percent against the Chinese renminbi, while it appreciated by 0.2 percent against the Japanese yen.

Over the twelve months period to February 2024, the nominal Pula exchange rate appreciated by 0.8 percent against the South African rand and depreciated by 3.4 percent against the SDR. Against the SDR constituent currencies, the Pula depreciated by 8.1 percent against the British pound, 5.6 percent against the euro and 3.4 percent against the US dollar, while it appreciated by 6.2 percent against the Japanese yen and 0.1 percent against the Chinese renminbi.
