Over the twelve months period to March 2025, the nominal Pula exchange rate depreciated by 3.2 percent against the South African rand but remained relatively stable against the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR). With respect to the SDR constituent currencies, the Pula appreciated by 0.4 percent each against the US dollar and the Chinese renminbi, and 0.3 percent against the euro, while it depreciated by 2.2 percent against the British pound and 1.3 percent against the Japanese yen.

The Pula appreciated by 0.1 percent against the South African rand, while it depreciated by 0.4 percent against the SDR over the one-month period to March 2025. It appreciated by 1.2 percent against the US dollar, 0.7 percent against the Chinese renminbi and 0.4 percent against the Japanese yen, while it depreciated by 2.9 percent against the euro and 1.8 percent against the British pound.
