After a gap of several years, the Bank of Botswana of Botswana has resumed publication of The Research Bulletin. This is the forum through which the Bank publishes a selection of economic research which is judged suitable for wider dissemination and, going forward, the intention is to maintain publication on a regular basis. The latest issue of the Research Bulletin is available on the website. The bulletin contains articles on the future of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU), the efficiency of the equity markets in Botswana, and on problems with interpreting GDP estimates for the general government sector. The 2010 Monetary Policy Statement is also included. The printed version of this issue has been available since August, and the delay in posting it to the website is regretted.
