As Botswana's central bank, the Bank of Botswana maintains  variious  formal external relationswith other official organisations. As well as with the Botswana Government, these cover both regional bodies and international financial institutions. This is in order for the Bank to carry out its mission and legislative responsibilities more efficiently, and sufficient resources are allocated towards supporting the effectiveness of these relationships.
