The Pula depreciated against the rand

In January, the Pula appreciated against the US dollar (2.9 percent), yen (1.2 percent), euro (1.0 percent) and British pound (0.8 percent), while it depreciated against the rand (1.5 percent). On an annual basis (twelve months to January 2012), the Pula depreciated against the yen (14.2 percent), US dollar (7.7 percent), pound (6.9 percent), and the euro (4.8 percent), but appreciated against the rand (0.7 percent).
